It’s another great tool for
improving site ranking is Directory submission. It’s also a very essential tool
for SEO. We all know that nowadays SEO is an emerging technique to improve
website ranking and for creating back links. It’s also important for a great way
of marketing.
So today we will learn how
to do Directory submissions as a part of Search Engine Optimization.
Step 1: Search for directory sites with high page rank with
search words like ‘Directory submission list, SEO friendly directory
submission list, Directory list for 2013’ also putting queries in search
box like

· Step 2: (If the site ask for
registration)Register with the user name
of sites- example “ABC” and email id being created for it- abc123@xyz.com with respective password- ‘abc123’
Step 3:
click on ‘submit link/ Add
site/Add URL’ on the site.
Step 4:
Fill the following fields as below-
- Title: How your Title Should be. Every directory is approaching different strategy for the approval of directory submission. Your title should be unique while submitting because of duplication of title in directory. Create an attractive title using keywords. ex: Top Restaurants, Buy travel bags online,
- URL: http://www.abc.in
- Category: Use the related category and popular words. ex: food, shopping, travel etc
- Description/Meta description: Mostly sites accept 250 correctors for directory Descriptions. Your description should be descriptive not use of only keywords. You can’t use maximum keywords in descriptions.
- Keywords/ Meta keywords: Respective keywords. ex: buy wallets, Top restaurants etc.
- Email: abc123@xyz.com
Step 5: Submit the URL
Step 6: Copy and paste the URL from the address bar.
DO NOTs!
Ø Choose the misappropriate category for tags.
Ø Try to repeat the site for submission( it doesn’t
accept the same URL either)
Ø Description must have keywords [recommended to take
it from the source of website (CRTL+U on the site and copy the description)]
