Which social media platform?

Most of the people who are using Social Media as an advertisement or marketing platforms to their business, are very confused by choosing the correct social media platform. They are always in doubt while approaching any social media platform. There, confusion is also right because we have so many areas where we can invest our money with respect to social media marketing. But the problem is how to choose the correct and perfect area with a better understanding of what consumers want from social media. Where should you focus your limited time and money? After all, whichever platform we chose we have to pay a high amount of money. Than we have to think about our return on investment.
In the web we have so many social media platforms which are used by all people, but mainly if we see than we have three main social media platforms which are giving high rate of interest of people.
1.     Facebook:
If we talked about Facebook than it has the biggest audience and it give more ability for brands to create and show interesting content. The key challenge on Facebook is creating bite-sized bits of compelling content, given that 90% of people consume brand content as part of their ‘news feed’, not on the brand’s Facebook page as you might expect. You have to stand out amongst the news from a person’s c.200 friends to be seen.

2.     Twitter:
Has a much smaller role to play, given its even more limited reach. It has fewer members. Twitter is a new-age helpline, most relevant for complex service brands, and following celebrity CEOs. For example, some of the CEO of the company has more followers with compare to their company.

3.     YouTube:
While every marketing people thinks of a YouTube sensation that ‘goes viral’,
Then I suggest that viral success should be seen as a bonus to your conventional media plan, not the main objective. First of all three main features go viral on the YouTube comedy, sex and humor and these are not fit with your brand. And more importantly, YouTube success is a lottery. We can count the success story in the YouTube, but also we have so many failures that we can’t count.

So I will suggest that focus your effort on the platform that has the biggest reach with your “Target consumers”.

Influence of Social Media on Politics

Now when we talked about the influences made by social media than we are not very much sure that it will effect or not. As we all know that today almost all the people some or the other times use social media. The day by day growing users of social networking site and sharing everything in one place make them aware of the current scenario. I saw a report related to India that says that “Social media are likely to influence 160 Lok Sabha seats in the next general elections.” This shows that nowadays Social Media can influence people to choose “people” for very responsible positions which can affect the whole country.  Almost all the political parties have their own pages in Facebook and other social networking site where they can communicate with the other normal people. If we think in a different way, than it’s very good starting to choose any responsible person for the responsible position. It has both positive effects as well as negative effects also but in a whole way it’s transparent to “Aam Janta” who can understand the opinions of thousands of other people.  You can check this news on these links-

Target Your Audience...

If we compare social media marketing with any other marketing strategy than we can find that in social media we can more appropriately target our audiences. As a marketing term “Targeting” is very important for a business point of view also and a customer point of view also. If you have right information, appropriate knowledge about customer needs, and according to the customer need a perfect product or service. But if you don't have your particular target audience whom you have to sell than your “perfect product or service” have no sale in the market. So for every business targeting is very important. If we take social media marketing then it’s very much applicable that we can use our marketing in more specific way. I can suggest some areas where you can pay more attention with respect to targeting.

1. Social network-
Every business should have the knowledge about the current scenario of social media marketing. You should know that which social network your target audience is using. According to the information or data you can choose that social network for the marketing.

2. Understand the social media habits-
After understanding the social networks try to understand the habits of your targeted audience. For example in which target group, what are the needs.? What specific they like etc. then you will easily understand the habits of your targeted group.

3. Target potential clients-
After understanding the social network and social media habits you have to ask from yourself that how will you target your potential clients in a specific reason or in any specific industry so that you can know your potential clients.
